THEY HAVE BEEN A GREAT PARTNER SINCE THEY JOINED OUR COMMUNITY A FEW YEARS BACK.
THEY ARE A BIG EMPLOYER IN OUR COMMUNITY, AND THEY HAVE SUCH A NEAT PROCESSING PLACE.
I THINK WHEN WE GOT TO GO ON A TOUR A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, I WAS BEYOND FASCINATED WITH ALL THE MACHINERY IN THERE.
BUT I JUST WANT TO SAY KUDOS TO GOLDEN STATE FOOD.
MY UNDERSTANDING IS EVERY EMPLOYEE GIVES TO THEIR FOUNDATION, AND THEN THEY'RE ABLE TO DO A NUMBER OF THINGS ACROSS OUR COMMUNITY AND EVEN FURTHER BEYOND BURLESON.

YOU JUST APPROVED THE DOUBLE IN MANY CASES, TRIPLE THE CASE THE COST OF DEVELOPMENT PERMITS.
YOU JUST REMODELED CITY HALL, OR PROBABLY STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
YOU'RE GOING TO APPROVE THE CITY PARKS TO ALLOW ALCOHOL TO COME IN AND MAKE THINGS UNSAFE FOR THE CITIZENS.

WE CAME BACK TO FINANCE COMMITTEE WITH RECOMMENDATIONS BASED ON THE NEW POLICY FOR FY 26 PURCHASES.
PART OF THE POLICY INCLUDED ACCELERATING THE PROCESS BASICALLY SO THAT WE WOULD BASICALLY TRY TO PURCHASE FY 26 VEHICLES IN FY 25.

WHILE WE WOULDN'T JUST GET RID OF A PERFECTLY GOOD TRUCK WHEN IT'S TIME TO REPLACE IT, WE WANT TO GO THROUGH THAT ANALYSIS TO FIGURE OUT, WHAT DOES THE BUSINESS NEED REALLY REQUIRE THAT VEHICLE TO BE? THAT'S WHAT WE WANT TO GO OUT AND PURCHASE.

AS WE PRESENTED, AXON AT THAT TIME, DID NOT WANT TO CONSOLIDATE THE OTHER FIVE CONTRACTS WITHOUT US HAVING TO PAY FOR THE HARDWARE UPFRONT, WHICH WAS GOING TO BE A SIGNIFICANT COST.

I'M PLEASED TO SAY THAT YOUR GUIDANCE LED TO SOME SIGNIFICANT CHANGES AND BE ABLE TO GET THAT 10 YEAR CONTRACT IN PLACE AND REALIZE SOME PRETTY SIGNIFICANT MONEY IN THE SAVINGS OF THAT.

THE TOTAL COST FOR 10 YEARS UNDER COLUMN A FOR ALL EXISTING CONTRACTS SO THAT'S THE EXISTING CONTRACT WE HAD AT THE TIME WOULD HAVE BEEN 7.5 MILLION IF WE HAD NOT HAVE CONSOLIDATED.
SECOND COLUMN, ONE NEW CONTRACT TOTAL IS 7.3 MILLION FOR 10 YEARS AFTER WE WERE ABLE TO CONSOLIDATE ALL OF THE CONTRACTS.
THAT RESULTED IN A SAVINGS OF $189,197 OVER THE 10 YEAR LIFE OF THE CONTRACT.
WE HAD A TRIAL PERIOD FOR THE AXON AI.
I KNOW THERE WERE A LOT OF QUESTIONS, AND WE'LL TALK A LITTLE MORE ABOUT THAT.
BUT WE HAD A TRIAL PERIOD WITH AXON AND OUR OFFICERS UTILIZED THAT TECHNOLOGY, AND WE HAD VERY POSITIVE FEEDBACK OF THE EFFICIENCIES THAT THAT BROUGHT TO THE REPORT WRITING SET UP.

THE ADA IS A FEDERAL LAW ENACTED BACK IN 1990, AND AT ITS CORE, PROHIBITS DISCRIMINATION AGAINST PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND PUBLIC SPACES.

ABOUT 48 OUT OF 60 FIXTURES AND THIS IS FROM ABOUT A MONTH AGO, SO THOSE NUMBERS MAY NOT BE EXACT, BUT ROUGHLY THE VAST MAJORITY OF THESE LIGHTS DON'T MEET APPLICABLE HIGHWAY STANDARDS.
THE REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE HARDER TO FINE, AND IT'S BEEN INCREASINGLY CHALLENGING TO SOURCE.

WE HAD AN INTERESTING START TO THE SESSION WITH A SPEAKER'S RACE IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
REPRESENTATIVE BURROUGHS AND DAVID COOK, REPRESENTATIVE COOK RAN AGAINST ONE ANOTHER.
REPRESENTATIVE BURROUGHS WAS ELECTED BY A VOTE OF 88 TO 55 ON WHAT I BELIEVE WAS THE SECOND OR THIRD BALLOT IN THAT RACE.
NOTABLY, OF THOSE 88 VOTES THAT HE GOT, 36 WERE REPUBLICAN, 49 WERE DEMOCRATS.
IT WAS A BIPARTISAN ELECTION OF REPRESENTATIVE BURROUGHS.
SUBSEQUENTLY, THEN A DECISION WAS MADE, AND A RULE WAS ADOPTED BY THE HOUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER THAT MEMBERS OF THE MINORITY PARTY, THE DEMOCRATS, IN THIS CASE, WOULD NOT SHARE COMMITTEES.
THE COMPROMISE THAT WAS STRUCK WAS THAT THEY WOULD HAVE SUBCOMMITTEES.
THEY ACTUALLY SHRUNK THE NUMBER OF COMMITTEES THE SESSION IN THE HOUSE AND THEN EXPANDED A NUMBER OF SUBCOMMITTEES, AND THERE WERE A HANDFUL OF DEMOCRATS THAT SHARED SUBCOMMITTEES.

THERE'S A LOT OF LEGISLATION THAT MUNICIPALITIES NEED TO GO THROUGH, AND WE'RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT SOME OF THAT, BUT CERTAINLY, THIS IS NOT MEANT TO GO OVER ALL 260.
GOVERNOR ABBOTT STARTS THE SESSION, ANNOUNCING HIS PRIORITIES, HIS SO-CALLED EMERGENCY ITEMS, THAT IS TYPICAL AND CUSTOMARY.
HE NAMES SEVEN AT THE BEGINNING OF SESSION.
YOU SEE THEM LISTED HERE, SCHOOL CHOICE BEING THE ONE THAT PROBABLY RECEIVED THE MOST MEDIA ATTENTION, AND CERTAINLY HAS A LONG HISTORY OF EFFORT IN THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS.
FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, A SCHOOL CHOICE SO-CALLED VOUCHER BILL PROGRAM WAS PASSED.

THEN THEY REDUCED SIGNIFICANTLY THE BUSINESS PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX.

THEN YOU HAD A NUMBER OF POSITIONS OF SUPPORT THAT ARE ALL LISTED HERE, A COUPLE OF THEM HAVING TO DO WITH PUBLIC SAFETY, THE EGRET SITUATION, AND THEN THE BALANCED BILLING FOR AMBULANCE SERVICES.

THEY AUTHORIZED THE CITY OF BURLESON TO PARTICIPATE IN THE QUALIFIED HOTEL PROJECT FOR THE 10-YEAR REBATE OF THE STATE HOT TAXES AND THE STATE SALES TAXES.
21 OTHER CITIES THIS SESSION FILED SIMILAR, IF NOT IDENTICAL, PIECES OF LEGISLATION.
THAT'S MORE OR LESS ABOUT THE NORM THAT WE'VE SEEN FOR THE LAST FEW SESSIONS, ANYWHERE FROM 15-25 HAS BECOME THE NORM OVER THE LAST FEW SESSIONS OF CITIES THAT ARE SEEKING THIS QUALIFIED HOTEL PROJECT AUTHORIZATION.
YOUR HOUSE BILL PASSED THE HOUSE COMMITTEE AND WAS THEN SET ON THE HOUSE CALENDAR.
THAT BILL WAS POSTPONED BECAUSE, AS THE NEXT BULLET POINT SPELLS OUT, AS WE ENVISIONED ALL ALONG AND HAS BEEN THE CASE NOW FOR GOING BACK ALMOST 20 YEARS IN MY EXPERIENCE,

THAT OMNIBUS BILL INCORPORATED ALL OF THE CITIES, OR ALMOST ALL OF THEM.
IT CERTAINLY INCORPORATED BURLESON.
THAT OMNIBUS BILL PASSED THE HOUSE AND THEN WENT OVER TO THE SENATE.
PASSED OUT OF COMMITTEE, WENT TO THE SENATE FLOOR.
UNFORTUNATELY, ON THE SENATE FLOOR, SENATOR BIRDWELL, A REPUBLICAN FROM WACO, ADDED AN AMENDMENT THAT WAS SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS YOU CAN ONLY HAVE ONE AMENDMENT.
MEANING IF YOUR CITY IS GRANTED THIS AUTHORITY, YOU CAN ONLY DO ONE PROJECT.
ONE HOTEL PROJECT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN DO MULTIPLE QUALIFIED HOTEL PROJECTS OVER TIME, LIMITLESS, IF YOU WILL.
THAT AMENDMENT IS CERTAINLY NOT OBJECTIONABLE TO THE CITY OF BURLESON, AS Y'ALL ONLY HAVE SITES ON DOING ONE PROJECT.
UNFORTUNATELY, SOME OTHER CITIES AND SOME CITIES IN DFW AREA IN PARTICULAR, THAT HAVE BEEN PART OF THIS PROGRAM FOR A LONG TIME, HAVE ALREADY BEGUN USING THIS PROGRAM FOR MULTIPLE PROJECTS.
THERE WAS A LOT OF HEARTBURN ABOUT THAT AMENDMENT, AND IT ULTIMATELY KILLED THE BILL IN THE HOUSE BECAUSE OF THIS OPPOSITION FROM OTHER CITIES.
OUR EFFORT AND 21 OTHER CITIES' EFFORT SUFFERED A VERY UNIQUE FATE, IF I'M BEING CANDID WITH YOU, BECAUSE WE HAVE NEVER NOT PASSED THIS BILL BEFORE.
THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME EVER THE LEGISLATURE HAS NOT PASSED A QUALIFIED HOTEL PROJECT BILL SINCE THE INCEPTION OF THE PROGRAM IN THE MODERN PROGRAM, AND BASICALLY 2003.
THAT IS WHERE THINGS LEFT OFF WITH THE QUALIFIED HOTEL PROJECT.
YOU HAD ANOTHER CITY, AND AGAIN, HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THAT, OR WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT AT THE END, WHATEVER YOU PREFER.
ANOTHER CITY PRIORITY BILL, HOUSE BILL 134, BY REPRESENTATIVE MEYER, OUT OF DALLAS HIGHLAND PARK AREA.
THIS IS A CONTINUOUS DEBATE IN THE LEGISLATURE THAT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR A WHILE NOW.

AS YOU KNOW, THE CURRENT LAW REQUIRES AT LEAST ONE PART OF THE LAW REQUIRES ANNUAL APPRAISALS TO BE CONDUCTED BY APPRAISAL DISTRICTS.
THERE IS ANOTHER PROVISION THAT ARGUABLY ALLOWS REAPPRAISALS ONCE EVERY THREE YEARS.
THIS BILL WOULD HAVE ATTEMPTED TO ADDRESS THAT INCONSISTENCY.

SENATE BILL 2477 IS A REALLY INTERESTING BILL AND VERY PROBLEMATIC FOR SOME COMMUNITIES BECAUSE IT GIVES SOMEWHAT OF A DEVELOPMENT BY RIGHT TO CONVERT OFFICE SPACE TO RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT.
PLEASE BE SURE VISIT WITH YOUR ATTORNEY AND YOUR STAFF ABOUT THAT BILL.
MOVING ON FROM LAND USE TO OPEN GOVERNMENT AND ELECTIONS, SENATE BILL 1025 IS GOING TO REQUIRE YOU TO PUT ON ANY BALLOT WHERE THERE IS A TAX IMPOSITION OR INCREASE, LANGUAGE THAT SAYS THIS IS A TAX INCREASE ON THE BALLOT LANGUAGE.

AGAIN, THE SO CALLED TAXPAYER-FUNDED LOBBY BILL DID NOT PASS.
THERE WAS A COUPLE PIECES OF LEGISLATION THAT WOULD HAVE REALLY IMPACTED THE TYPES OF DEBT THAT YOU CAN ISSUE THAT DID NOT PASS.
THEN I'LL DRAW YOUR ATTENTION DOWN TO THE ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT BULLET POINT THERE AND ABOUT THE MIDDLE OF THE SLIDE.
THIS IS THE SECOND SESSION IN A ROW THAT THAT BILL HAS NOT PASSED, BUT IT'S GOING TO CONTINUE AND THEN GO DOWN ANOTHER COUPLE OF THE ETJ BILL ELIMINATING THE CONCEPT OF ETJ IS SOMETHING THAT'S GOING TO CONTINUE TO BE DEBATED, BUT DID NOT PASS.
THEN THAT ELIMINATION OF THE MAY UNIFORM ELECTION DATE IS ANOTHER BILL THAT WILL CONTINUE TO COME BACK.
BUT BUT DID NOT PASS, AND AS THAT LAST BULLET POINT THERE ON THE SLIDE SAYS THAT ALL OF THESE DID NOT PASS BILLS ARE DUE IN NO SMALL PART TO THE EFFORTS THAT YOU MAKE AS A CITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR LEGISLATURE.
THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION ENDED.
THEN ALMOST IMMEDIATELY, THE GOVERNOR INDICATED THAT WE WOULD HAVE A SPECIAL SESSION OVER A COUPLE OF ITEMS. THEN TRAGICALLY, THE FLOODING OCCURRED DOWN IN THE HILL COUNTRY, DOWN NEAR WHERE I LIVE, AND THAT REALLY ACCELERATED THE NEED FOR A SPECIAL SESSION.
AS YOU KNOW THERE WAS A WALKOUT BY THE HOUSE DEMOCRATS.
WE DID A SECOND SPECIAL SESSION, AND SO ULTIMATELY, AND I'LL FLIP FORWARD AND FLIP BACK.
I JUST WANT TO SHOW YOU 24 ITEMS ULTIMATELY WERE ADDED TO THE CALL.
AS YOU KNOW I'M GOING TO GO BACK NOW HERE.
BUT AS YOU KNOW THE GOVERNOR HAS FULL DISCRETION AND COMPLETE DISCRETION OVER WHAT IS ON THE CALL, AND ONLY HE OR SHE MAKES THAT DECISION.
THESE ITEMS ARE ALL MANDATED BY THE GOVERNOR.

I TOLD YOU THAT WE TALK ABOUT TAXPAYER-FUNDED LOBBY BILL THAT WAS ADDED TO THE SPECIAL SESSION.
IT'S ALSO AN ITEM THAT DID NOT PASS.
ITEM NUMBER 16, WHICH IS BARING THE HEADLINE HERE.
THESE ARE LITERALLY IN THE ORDER OF THE GOVERNOR'S PROCLAMATION.
THAT WAS A LARGE DEGREE OF WHAT WE WERE COMING BACK TO DO, AND THAT WAS AT THE REQUEST OF THE PRESIDENT TO TRY TO GAIN MORE REPUBLICAN SEATS IN WHAT IS A VERY NARROW HOUSE OF MAJORITY IN WASHINGTON.
THAT BILL PASSED, THAT MAP IS BEING CHALLENGED NOW IN THE JUDICIAL PROCESS.
THEN YOU SEE HERE THE LAST THREE OR FOUR ISSUES.
ALTOGETHER, THE MAJORITY OF THE ITEMS THAT THE GOVERNOR ASKED FOR WERE PASSED.
THE VAST MAJORITY OF THEM, IN FACT.
BUT THERE ARE CERTAINLY A COUPLE THAT MAY BRING US BACK.

WHAT THIS BILL WOULD HAVE DONE IS LOWER YOUR VADER,

IS IT IS NOW SOMETIMES REFERRED TO, THE VOTER APPROVED TAX RATE.THIS WOULD HAVE LOWERED IT TO 2.5%.
SOMEWHAT ODDLY, THEY WENT WITH ANOTHER BRACKET APPROACH, AND THIS BILL WOULD HAVE ONLY APPLIED TO COMMUNITIES OF 75,000.
WE SUSPECTED ALL ALONG, AND IT PROVED TO BE RIGHT THAT THERE WOULD BE MEMBERS IN THE HOUSE AND PARTICULAR REPUBLICAN MEMBERS IN THE HOUSE THAT WERE GOING TO SAY, WELL, IF THIS IS SUCH A GREAT IDEA, AND THIS IS PROPERTY TAX RELIEF, WHY IS IT APPLYING TO MY COMMUNITIES THAT I REPRESENT? I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME AND TELL MY VOTERS THAT THE GREAT PROPERTY TAX RELIEF BILL OF THE SPECIAL SESSION ONLY APPLIED TO CERTAIN COMMUNITIES AND DIDN'T APPLY TO MINE.
A VERY DIVISIVE DEBATE BROKE OUT IN THE HOUSE.
THEY ACTUALLY AMENDED THE BILL IN THE HOUSE TO APPLY IT TO ALL CITIES.
THE SENATE SAID, WE'RE NOT GOING FOR THAT.
NOTHING PASSED FOR LACK OF AGREEMENT ON THE CONFERENCE COMMITTEE.
LASTLY, JUST IN WRAPPING UP THE BOTTOM OF THE SLIDE HERE, THE LAST TWO BULLET POINTS.
THERE WERE A COUPLE OF OTHER BILLS THAT WERE OF INTEREST TO CITY THAT DID NOT PASS.
HOUSE BILL 17 WOULD HAVE REQUIRED YOU TO SEND A NOTICE TO EVERY SINGLE PROPERTY OWNER IN THE CITY WITH YOUR PROPERTY TAX RATE, IN OTHER WORDS, NO LONGER BEING ABLE TO SATISFY THAT BY SIMPLY PUTTING SOMETHING IN THE NEWSPAPER.
YOU WOULD HAVE HAD A COST AND UNFUNDED MANDATE, IF YOU WILL, OF MAILING THAT TO EVERY SINGLE PROPERTY OWNER.
THEN HOUSE BILL 46 AND HOUSE 73 WERE THE FIRST TIME WE'VE SEEN A REALLY SERIOUS PUSH IN THE LEGISLATURE FOR A VERY WHAT I WOULD CALL A PURE SPENDING LIMIT, WHEREAS SENATE BILL 10 IS A LIMIT ON YOUR PROPERTY TAX RATE, WHICH IS ONE SOURCE OF REVENUE FOR THE CITY.
SENATE BILL 46 AND HOUSE BILL 73, OR ACROSS THE BOARD, THE CITY CANNOT SPEND MORE THAN X THAN IT DID THE PREVIOUS YEAR, NO MATTER THE SOURCE.
LOTS AND LOTS OF TECHNICAL PROBLEMS WITH THIS BILL THAT YOUR CITY MANAGER AND YOUR FINANCE STAFF ARE VERY WELL AWARE OF AS THEY ARE ACROSS THE STATE.
BUT JUST WANTED TO NOTE FOR YOU THAT THOSE ARE BILLS THAT ARE STARTING TO GET MORE AND MORE DISCUSSION, AND ATTRACTION FROM CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE LEGISLATURE.
I USUALLY SAY IN THESE END OF SESSION PRESENTATIONS THAT TRYING TO TALK ABOUT THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION IN 10, 15, 20 MINUTES, IS LIKE SAYING LET'S GET TOGETHER AND READ THE BIBLE FROM GENESIS TO EXODUS QUICKLY.
TRUST ME WHEN I SAY WE COULD TALK FOR A LONG TIME ABOUT ALL THE LEGISLATION THAT IMPACTS CITIES, BUT I WILL PAUSE THERE AND GLADLY TAKE QUESTIONS OR HAVE DISCUSSION.

THERE WAS SOME INDICATION THAT HE WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ONLY ONE.

LET'S TAKE A LITTLE BIT TO LOAD, BUT THIS IS REALLY JUST A QUICK UPDATE FOR YOU, THE COUNCIL, ON SOME FLOOD WARNING INFRASTRUCTURE

THAT YOU INCLUDED IN THE CURRENT YEAR'S BUDGET.THERE WE GO. I'LL TALK A LITTLE BIT OF BACKGROUND, GIVE YOU AN OVERVIEW OF THE SYSTEM, AND THEN GIVE YOU A FEW NEXT STEPS.
BACK IN JULY OF 2024, YOU DIRECT SOME FUNDING FOR FLOOD WARNING EQUIPMENT TO BE ADDED TO THE 24/25 BUDGET.
FEBRUARY OF 25, YOU AUTHORIZED THE CONTRACTS THAT WERE USED TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL THAT EQUIPMENT.
THE OVERALL GOALS WERE TO IMPROVE PUBLIC SAFETY BY PROVIDING ADVANCE WARNING TO HELP ALERT MOTORISTS AND THEN ALSO TO ALERT STAFF WHEN IT WAS TIME TO MANUALLY CLOSE LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
IN EARLY AUGUST, WE COMPLETED THE INSTALLATIONS AT ALL THREE LOCATIONS THAT WERE INCLUDED THAT WERE FUNDED, INCLUDING SOUTH FOX LANE, SOUTHEAST TARRANT AT MILLER, AND THEN THE SOUTHWEST HULEN STREETS LOW WATER CROSSING.
THE NEXT SLIDE TO GIVE YOU AN OVERVIEW OF THE EQUIPMENT THAT'S BEEN INSTALLED.
PICTURE IN THE CIRCLE IS A BLOW UP OF THE PICTURE ON THE RIGHT, BUT IN WHITE THERE IS THE HIGH TECH CAMERA SENSOR THAT IS CONSTANTLY LOOKING FOR WATER LEVEL AT THE AREA WHERE IT'S BEEN TRAINED.
THIS IS ACTUALLY AT THE SOUTHEAST TARRANT LOCATION.
ALL OF THESE HAVE CELLULAR COMMUNICATIONS THAT TRANSMIT BACK, WELL, THROUGH CELLULAR NETWORK.
TRANSMITTING STATUS AT ALL TIMES IS ALSO SOLAR POWERED BATTERY BACKUP FOR REDUNDANCY.
THESE ARE ALL FEEDING BACK TO A CENTRAL COMPUTER SYSTEM, BASICALLY.
ROUTINELY, THOSE SENSORS ARE READING ABOUT EVERY 30 MINUTES.
EVEN NOW IT'S NOT RAINING, BUT ABOUT EVERY 30 MINUTES, THERE WILL BE THREE SETS OF DATA THAT COME BACK FROM THOSE THREE LOCATIONS.
THAT BASICALLY CONFIRM, NO WATER IS DETECTED, EVERYTHING'S FINE.
IF IT STARTED TO DRIZZLE A LITTLE BIT, WELL, THAT FREQUENCY WOULD BECOME SLOWLY, BUT GRADUALLY MORE QUICKLY, BECAUSE THE WHOLE INTENT IS TO GIVE STAFF A LITTLE BIT OF A HEADS UP OF, IS THERE ENOUGH WATER THAT WE HAVE TO GO CLOSE A CROSSING OR NOT? THIS IS ALSO GOING TO BE HELPFUL FOR US AS WE ARE TESTING THE SYSTEM TO MAKE SURE IT'S THERE AND FUNCTIONAL WHEN WE NEED IT.

THEN GRADUALLY, THE WATER LEVEL RECEDED AFTER THE RAIN EVENT BY ABOUT 1:00 P.M. OR SO, EVERYTHING WAS BACK TO NORMAL.
THE FLASHING LIGHTS WOULD GO OFF.
THAT'S VERY HIGH LEVEL OF HOW THAT FUNCTIONS.
THEN THE ADVANCED WARNING SIGNS, I MENTIONED THOSE THIS IS ON MILLER STREET.
IT'S ASSEMBLY LIKE THE ONE SHOWN HERE ON THE RIGHT.
AGAIN, IT'S GOT THE CELLAR COMMUNICATIONS.
IT'S GOT THE SOLAR POWERED BATTERY BACKUP FOR EACH LOCATION.
THEN THE FLASHING LIGHTS ARE ACTIVATED REMOTELY ONCE THE WATER LEVEL THRESHOLD IS MET.
THESE ALERTS GO BACK TO PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCH AND TO PUBLIC WORKS.
IT IS HULEN AND SOUTHEAST TARRANT, HAVE TO BE CLOSED MANUALLY CLOSED.
SOUTH FOX, YOU MIGHT RECALL, CAN'T BE CLOSED RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THERE'S NOT A CONNECTION TO HIDDEN CREEK PARKWAY ON THE SOUTH END OF SOUTH FOX.
THE THREE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS AGAIN, MILLER, HULEN AND SOUTH FOX.
I THINK WE ACTUALLY HAVE A VIDEO THAT SHOWS IT IN ACTION ON THE RIGHT.

I THINK CAPITOL WILL BE COMING FORTH TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE UPDATE ON WHAT THEY'RE ABLE TO DO WITH THE CROSSING, BUT THAT PROJECT WAS PRIMARILY TO DEAL WITH SOME REUSING CONTROL FOR A SEWER LINE THAT'S JUST TO THE WEST OF SOUTHEAST TARRANT.
