Consider approval of an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Burleson, Texas approving a negotiated settlement between the Atmos Cities Steering Committee ("ACSC") and Atmos Energy Corp., Mid-Tex Division regarding the company's 2019 ratereview mechanism filing; declaring existing rates to be unreasonable; adopting tariffs that reflect rate adjustments consistent with the negotiated settlement; finding the rates to be set by the attached settlement tariffs to be just and reasonable and in the public interest; approving an attached exhibit establishing a benchmark for pensions and retiree medical benefits; approving an attached exhibit regarding amortization of regulatory liability; requiring the company to reimburse ACSC’s reasonable ratemaking expenses; determining that this ordinance was passed in accordance with the requirements of the Texas Open Meetings Act; adopting a savings clause; declaring an effective date; and requiring delivery of this ordinance to the company and the ACSC’s legal counsel. Consider approval of a minute order ratifying the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Annual Operating Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2019 and ending on September 30, 2020 when the Budget will raise more revenue from the property taxes than last year's budget. Consider approval of an ordinance of the City of Burleson, Texas, levying the ad valorem property tax of the City of Burleson, Texas, for the year 2019, on all taxable property within the corporate limits of the city on January 1, 2019, and adopting a tax rate of $0.7200 per $100 of valuation for 2019; providing revenues for payment of current municipal maintenance and operation expenses and for payment of interest and principal on outstanding City of Burleson debt; providing for limited exemptions of certain homesteads; and providing for enforcement of collections.
