A. Hold a public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 proposed annual budget. This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $693,567 or 2.86%, and of that amount $720,214 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. B. Hold a second public hearing on a proposal to adopt a 2019 ad valorem property tax rate of $0.7200 per $100 valuation with a maximum allowable rate of $0.7200 per $100 valuation, which will exceed of the lower of the effective or rollback tax rate. C. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Burleson, Texas, approving revised budget figures for fiscal year 2018-2019; approving and adopting the budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2019 and terminating September 30, 2020, and making appropriations for each department; repealing conflicting ordinances; providing a savings and severability clause; and declaring an effective date.
